Research interests
Identification and quantification of bacteria and fungi. Quality control and method optimisation. Special interest in pathogenic microorganisms.
Background
Bioengineering degree from the University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Hercegovina) and additionally extensive training in microbiology and laboratory techniques. My qualifications include specialised training in mould identification and quantification, and various laboratory courses. More than 25 years of experience in microbiological laboratory work and media production at the Norwegian Veterinary Institute, focusing on microorganism quantification, mycology diagnostics and food bacteriology.
