Research interests

Biotoxin chemistry in general; special interest in isolation, purification and structure determination of marine toxins, fungal and plant metabolites, their semi-synthesis and derivatisation, and development of immunoassays.

Background

Background in organic chemistry from the University of Waikato/New Zealand; has been involved as lead chemist in numerous projects on fungal and plant toxin chemistry/toxicology at AgResearch Hamilton/New Zealand. Senior Scientist at the NVI Oslo on full-time basis 2009-2017. Currently Senior Scientist at National Research Council in Halifax, Canada.
