Research interests

Toxicological effects of fungal metabolites in feed and food, and the significance of these metabolites on human and animal health.

Background

Master of Science (Cand. Scient.) in Biology/Toxicology at the University of Oslo (“Cytochrome P450 as a marker of environmental pollution”). PhD in animal sciences/toxicology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala Sweden (“Metabolism and toxicity of trichothecenes”). Professional career: Norwegian Food Control Authority 1992-1999, Norwegian Poison Information Centre, 2003-2004. Norwegian Food Safety Authority, 2004, Norwegian Veterinary Institute, 2005 – present. Member of  the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food and Environment (VKM).
